Today there was a little bit of home here in our back yard. I brought out the bubble wands that I bought in the dollar section of Target back in April. The kids had a great time getting covered in soap suds and popping the giant bubbles.
Also, what is a post to the blog this week without mention of the Palio. Our landlord put out his contrade flag. Therefore, our villa now officially flies the flag of the Istrice, or porcupine, contrade. Here is a picture of the front of our villa.
We took the kids to one of the Palio trials. There are five trials that are run around the Campo before the real thing on Friday night. Wade and I are attending the real event, but it's not an ideal event for children. Therefore, we took them to a trial so they could get a sense of the race. Below is a video of the Campo immediately before the trial.
